Dear Friend,

Beyond the Baby BluesTM (BBB) has much to be grateful for this holiday season. I would like to take

this opportunity to introduce myself as BBB's first Executive Director. With more than 30 years of

professional experience in the maternal and infant mental health spaces, I am excited to help move

forward BBB’s mission and continue to serve women experiencing perinatal anxiety and postpartum

depression across Chicago.

BBB's 2023-24 fiscal year focuses on continuing to offer our one-of-a-kind group therapy sessions while

expanding our reach to new audiences across Illinois. We continue to see an increased demand for our

six-week therapeutic groups focused on perinatal loss and prenatal and post-partum depression. This

includes a newly launched Spanish-speaking group to reach Latinx women who have been a

traditionally marginalized group when it comes to maternal health and well-being.

From our beginning in 2011 until today, BBB has maintained a dedicated, all-volunteer Board of

Directors that support the operations of BBB, including identifying new ways to promote our services

and raise awareness of the organization in our community. Awareness includes an increased social

media presence and the expansion of relationships with community partners.

BBB's vision is to ensure every woman, regardless of race, ethnicity, or background, who has been

affected by maternal mental health complications or loss is empowered to achieve enduring emotional

health. Through our six-week therapeutic, professionally led support groups, women receive the

support and resources they need at no cost.

A gift to BBB will help expand our services and continue to provide all women with expert maternal

mental health care and resources. Together, we can continue to see our vision fulfilled!

If you are encouraged by our growth, story, and journey, please join us!
